Stacy Heit

Vice President, Communications and Events

Stacy leads a multifaceted communications strategy to share the work of NAWB and its members across the U.S. She also leads the strategy for all NAWB events and produces our annual conference, The Forum.

Previously, Stacy was Director of Communications and Events at Opportunity Nation, a data-driven campaign to expand economic mobility, and in 2018 she co-led the transition of the campaign from its incubator phase to a new home within The Forum for Youth Investment. She was the first Director of Events at America’s Promise Alliance (APA), a nonprofit founded by Colin Powell, dedicated to ensuring our nation’s youth have access to the five promises they need to succeed in college, work, and life. Stacy created and produced all of APA’s signature events, including its Building a GradNation Summit, and led the organization’s rebrand in advance of its 20th anniversary. She began her career as an inaugural staff member of the SPY Museum where she managed the visitor services team.

Stacy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and Archaeology from the University of Maryland and is a past president of the International Live Events Association. She has been producing The Forum since 2021. That year, the event was listed as one of the 10 Most Innovative Events by BizBash.

Stacy is based in Washington, DC, and has been named a 2024 Meeting Professional of the Year by Smart Meetings Magazine, and one of the 500 Most Influential Event Professionals in the U.S. by BizBash.
