Workforce Development Boards Tackling Mental Health and Youth Workforce Challenges

05/07/2026

The care economy is a rapidly growing field in which trained professionals support individuals faced with physical, mental and societal challenges.  The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics expects an average of 16% growth over the next ten years across the youth development, peer support and substance use disorder mental health counseling.  The question for workforce development boards is how to engage in this growing field. This webinar explores how apprenticeship models can address urgent mental health and youth serving workforce gaps. A panel of workforce board leaders and employers will learn share how Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs) can be used as a strategic business solution and what financial incentives are available as a result of the FHI360 ABA2 grant to support these efforts. The webinar will energize participants to act as changemakers within their own communities
