The SFWIB’s Office of Continuous Improvement (OIC) ensures management and the Board, through the Executive Director, are informed about organizational and contracted partner performance and compliance with program regulations. This role manages staff who conduct audits of service providers, including desk audits, performance reviews, and compliance checks. Responsibilities include planning and supervising complex audit programs, reviewing findings, and guiding staff on irregularities. The position also involves updating audit guidelines, coordinating departmental procedures, reviewing federal audit reports (OMB A-133), and issuing management letters for compliance. The SPA 2 exercises significant independent judgment, provides accurate reports to leadership, and oversees staff management functions such as hiring, discipline, performance evaluation, and leave approvals.
