Post-Conference Session: Grant Writing Go, Write Win!

This professional development workshop facilitated by TAD Grants provides a comprehensive overview of the essential principles, strategies, and best practices required to effectively respond to funding opportunities issued by Federal and State agencies. Participants will gain a detailed understanding of how to interpret and analyze Federal Funding Opportunities Announcements (FOAs), develop competitive and compliant proposals, and implement organizational strategies that ensure timely and high-quality submissions.

The session emphasizes practical application through discussion of evaluation criteria, proposal scoring methodologies, and common pitfalls encountered by applicants. Participants will also explore techniques for aligning proposal objectives with funding priorities, managing client relationships, negotiating contracts, and developing clear, outcome -driven narratives supported by sound budgeting practices.

Learning Objectives:

  • Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
  • Accurately read, interpret, and analyze Federal Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs) and related solicitation materials
  • Apply effective strategies for developing thorough, well-organized, and responsive proposals in alignment with FOA requirements
  • Utilize client management and contract negotiation strategies to strengthen partnerships and ensure proposal readiness.
  • Clearly define and articulate program outcomes, objectives, and goals that align with funding priorities and organizational capacity.
  • Distinguish between letters of commitment and letters of support and determine when and how to use each effectively.
  • Develop comprehensive and accurate budgets and budget narratives that clearly correspond to and support the project narrative.
  • Implement efficient organizational and project management strategies to ensure timely and compliant submission of funding applications.

Cost: This session normally costs $995 but for NAWB Members the cost is $595 and Non-Member the cost is $695 for this special session only!
