The CompTIA Tech Career Academy (“CompTIA Tech”) mission is to unlock people’s potential by helping them launch and grow their careers in information technology. As a non-profit, we train and prepare adults for certification and success in IT jobs to address an industry shortage of skilled IT professionals. Our sole motivation is to help learners land and/or succeed in IT jobs and grow the technology workforce.

Today, every company is an IT company, as IT is part of every organization’s fabric. Companies in all sectors search for communities that can provide bountiful IT-talent pipelines to fill the plethora of IT skills gaps. Through 2026, we will need to fill approximately 1.2 million tech jobs in the U.S.

CompTIA Tech collaborates with workforce boards to train underserved populations in job-based IT skills, leading to employment in all industry sectors. With trained and certified IT professionals, organizations can proactively thwart cyber threats and focus on reaching strategic business objectives.

CompTIA Tech customizes and aligns our IT training and certification programs to meet each partner’s distinctive economic and development workforce requirements. We collaborate with workforce and community leaders to design comprehensive, accelerated programs which include training, learning content and certifications. Graduates take certification exams to validate skills, yielding IT talent ready for high-growth career pathways.

Studies have shown that IT talent is a primary indicator of the wealth and economic competitiveness of a city or region. Our custom accelerated direct training and certification programs offer the quickest path to IT employment for individuals and meet the urgent demand for IT talent.
