· Bringing greater awareness to 21st century clean energy careers

The Energy Industry Powers Lives and Futures

America’s energy workforce powers life. Businesses, education, healthcare, travel, and even many of our favorite pastimes are made possible by the energy industry. Its six million professionals are problem solvers and critical thinkers who serve on the front lines of the country’s clean energy transition. They are first responders who rebuild infrastructure and restore power following storms and natural disasters. They protect and maintain the electric grid and gas pipelines essential to the way we live. These men and women are highly trained, highly skilled, and in high-demand.

The Energy Sector Is Putting People to Work

Energy employers expect to hire hundreds of thousands of people over the next several years. Certain decarbonization scenarios suggest that number could increase exponentially. Companies seek skilled trade workers, engineers and technicians, and people to fill a myriad of business roles, especially in cyber-security and information technology.

Some of the many benefits of working in the energy sector include:

· Performing essential and meaningful work

· Training and career advancement opportunities

· Earning potential

· Making a difference in people’s lives

· Supporting local communities

Energy Sector Leaders Want To Connect

Working with the industry’s energy companies in rural communities and large cities, primary energy trade associations, labor organizations, and more than 30 state energy workforce consortia, CEWD is eager to be your go-to source for:

· Connections with local energy companies

· Energy curriculum and educational resources

· Energy workforce data
