POLICY CONSULTATION

Workforce boards face an array of issues that have remained relatively constant over the years: serving job seekers and target populations; meeting the needs of employers; building the capacity of skill development providers; developing and providing job, work, and career intelligence; operating within a confusing framework of regulations and outcomerequirements; maintaining services in the face of declining funding; and developing a governance structure that leads to high performance. But how these issues fit together,or not, and which issues are receiving more public scrutiny, is constantly changing.

Annually, NAWB hosts an intensive two-day Policy Consultation that brings our members together for in-depth debate and discussion related to issues that are having the heaviest impact on workforce and skill development in the U.S., in order to shape NAWB policy positions and advocacy.
  • Hear experts present up-to-date information on the key issues affecting workforce development boards;
  • Join discussions on what our role and needs are relevant to these issues; and
  • Design a consensus federal policy statement on the issues we want to advocate in Congress and the Administration.
This event is open to members of NAWB only, and registration is limited to the first 50 attendees.
