NAWB Celebration: 30 Years of Public/Private Partnerships
Monday, March 9, 2009, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Can you believe that NAWB’s roots stretch back 30 years? The National Association of Private Industry Councils was formed in 1979, and changed its name in 1998 to reflect the emergence of Workforce Investment Boards. Over the years we’ve seen a sizeable and important expansion of public-private partnerships in the field of workforce development, leading to a stronger, more highly skilled, and more effective workforce. We thought that was a great cause for celebration!

Don’t miss the NAWB Celebration: 30 Years of Public/Private Partnerships at Forum 2009, Sunday, March 8, 2009 at 6:00 PM. Enjoy some great entertainment by Terrence Richburg and the Experience, as well as hors d’ oeuvres’, a cash bar, and a look back at the past 30 years! You may even recognize some faces from the past as we’ve compiled a collection of photographs from past conferences, summits, and trainings. So come celebrate with us as we take a walk down memory lane and commemorate 30 years of support for the workforce industry.

Entertainment by Terrance Richburg & The Experience

A native Washingtonian talent renowned for his God given musicianship, from an early age Terrence Richburg has amazed audiences with his adaptable, authenticated style and “smooth” delivery. He has performed throughout the country and is characterized by his peers as “The Quincy Jones of gospel,” “a musician’s musician,” and “a producer’s producer.”
